«Mercy and compassion change the world; it is a sign that there is life and nobility of soul in the heart. Without mercy there is no virtue, without virtue there is no wisdom, and without wisdom there can be no inner peace».

On this basis, on November 28, 2023, under the leadership of Associate Professor Shirinbayeva Gulbakhira, volunteer students in the specialty «6B01801-Social Pedagogy and self-knowledge» organized an information campaign under the slogan «We are making the world a better place!» dedicated to the World Day of Compassion and Mercy on the moral, spiritual, advertising and propaganda directions of the Meirim club.

The event was held with the assistance of the Department of Educational, Social Work and Youth Policy, with the participation of the Deputy Director for Educational Work of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology Saule Sholtaeva, Head of the Department of Preschool Education and Social Pedagogy Ulbolsyn Kiyakbaeva. In order to spread the ideas of humanism, volunteer students conducted a blitz survey «What should we do to make the world a better place?», «Why do we need mercy?», «Your contribution to selfless service to society?», which united the entire teaching staff and the student youth of all the institutes of our university.

A lot of meanings have been determined in this survey. But the most key concept of the answers received was for us «Change yourself and the world around you will change!» which is associated with duty and conscience, inner peace, the desire to live in unity of thought, word and deed. Reflections on the theme «We are making the world a better place!» created a moral and spiritual atmosphere in a dialogue environment, where the participants of the action revealed the deep meaning and moral value of the World Day of Mercy, designed to unite all people in the name of the love of our planet Earth.
