Activities of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay 2020-2021 academic year
At Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay, inclusiveness and accessibility of education is achieved through the implementation of one of the key values of the university - equal rights to receive a quality teacher education, regardless of race, nation, gender, social status.
The university ensures inclusiveness and equal access to quality teacher education through the following actions:

Provides students with the opportunity to study in one of three languages: Kazakh, Russian, English.
In the academic year 2020/21 in these three languages, the university operated 289 educational programs (EPs):

The University has a permanent representation in the Internet space - a web portal under the second-level domain name: https://abaiuniversity.edu.kz. In 2020/2021 academic year in the framework of digitalization of educational activities: the transition to the online mode of learning, for teaching staff and students implemented MicrosoftOffice 365 platform; introduced control and measurement of knowledge: using proctoring knowledge control, "Anti-Plagiarism".

The university conducts professional development courses to provide lifelong learning (LLL).
In the 2020-2021 academic year 108 employees of the regional and district methodological offices underwent professional development under the plans of the CPC and DO course activities (in the 2018-2019 academic year trained - 48 employees of RMC, 2019-2020 academic year trained - 22 employees of RMC).
Winter and Summer Schools for Abai University faculty members have become traditional since the 2018-2019 academic year.
In the 2020/2021 academic year, work was carried out to improve the pedagogical and research competencies of Abai University faculty:

Summer online school "Digital Educator", 730 teachers of the University, 60 teachers of schools in Almaty were trained;

Summer school: "Experience and problems of the higher pedagogical education", 1047 participants;

Winter School: "Pedagogical education in a distance learning format", 1127 participants.

University lecturers conduct guest open lectures.
During the 2019/2020 academic year, 356 University lecturers served 30 hours each at the school. There were 34 special elective courses and 184 lectures for students, 148 workshops, master classes for school teachers, and 65 online lessons developed and posted on YouTube and Facebook. Under the guidance of the University's teaching staff, 374 students participated in Olympiads and contests, and 102 of them became winners.

The teaching staff of the University is constantly improving the quality of educational programs and teaching through the approbation of scientific ideas in publications for scientific journals and in the reports of scientific conferences.
In order to improve the competitiveness and quality of educational services the University participates in reputable international rankings. According to the results of 2020/21 positions of KazNPU named after Abay:

Questioning. In order to study the level of students' satisfaction with the quality of educational activity and further work on improvement of educational services the corresponding diagnostic tool- questionnaire "evaluation of educational course content and its teaching" had been worked out. The questioning of the students was organized and conducted in 2 stages: from October 14 to 16, 2020 and from February 13 to 19, 2021.
The purpose of the survey is to determine the degree of students' satisfaction with the quality of teaching academic disciplines and professional skills of teachers in the conditions of pandemic. One of the main objectives of the survey is to assess satisfaction with the quality of teaching at the university.
The online form of the questionnaire was created with the help of Google forms and was distributed via a cell phone to the general chat of the students as a link to the questionnaire. Informing about the questionnaire was carried out with the help of department staff. In the survey was attended by students in 133 EP (Table 1) of the 2, 3, 4 years of BA and 1, 2 years of MA. The total number of respondents was 3997 students (bachelor - 3605, master - 392).

Library. Information and methodological support of the educational process is carried out by the scientific library of KazNPU named after Abay The scientific library is a structural unit of the university, provides students and faculty with modern educational, methodical and scientific publications, as well as fiction. There are memorandums of cooperation with the Centralized library system of Almaty, with the Republican Scientific and Technical Library, the Republican Scientific-Pedagogical Library; agreements on cooperation with RGP on PHV "Ordyly Ordyly" of the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, the libraries of Kazakhstani universities.

Partnership for sustainable university education through academic mobility.
Within the program of external academic mobility on the basis of bilateral agreements in the spring semester of 2020-2021 academic year 30 students were trained in foreign partner universities in a distance learning format:

3 students - online learning as part of the double degree at the University of Lorraine (France) in the spring semester 2020-2021 academic year;

11 students - online training as part of the two-diploma education at the Pomeranian Academy in Slupsk (Poland) in the spring semester of 2020-2021 academic year;

10 students - online learning at Adam Mickiewicz University (Poland) in the spring semester 2020-2021 academic year in a distance learning format;
-
2 students - online study at the University of Tsukuba (Japan) in the spring semester 2020-2021 academic year;
-
1 master's student - online learning at Vilnius University (Lithuania) in the spring semester of academic year 2020-2021;
-
3 students - online learning at the Moscow City Pedagogical University (RF) in the spring semester of academic year 2020-2021.
Under the program of internal academic mobility, on the basis of bilateral agreements with regional universities of Kazakhstan in the spring semester 2020-2021 academic year, 10 students were trained online in KazNPU named after Abay from Aktobe University named after S. Baishev and Atyrau State University named after H. Dosmukhamedov.
The Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology in order to increase academic excellence seeks to provide students with the skills needed in the XXI century: practice-oriented, digital pedagogy, blended learning, results-oriented, humanization of education, research competencies.

In order to increase the level of formed and developed teaching skills of students, proctoring of pedagogical practice of 3rd and 4th year students, 2nd year undergraduates, as well as 2nd year doctoral students in chemistry, biology, geography was introduced.
Year 3 students attended teachers' classes, while year 4 students, year 2 master's students, and year 2 doctoral students conducted classes according to the schedule, in an online format.
As part of the Continuing Education Practicum, 2,492 University practicum students practiced in schools during the 2020/2021 academic year. There were 3,516 open lessons and 1,817 school activities.
