Teachers of the Department of Geography and Ecology of the Institute of Natural Science and Geography of KazNPU named after Abay and students of the educational programs "Tourism" and "Restaurant and Hotel Business" held a "Tourism Week" dedicated to the "International Tourism Day". As part of the "Tourism Week" on September 27, Ph. assoc. prof. Omarov K.M. took students on a mountain hike to the «Kim-Asar gorge», introduced them to the safety rules on a mountain hike, and gave practical instructions.
On October 1, 4th year students of EP 6B11101 - Tourism, 6B11103 - Restaurant business and hotel business and 2-3 year students who chose the minor program "Tourism and Excursion Management" specialty 6B01703-Two Foreign Languages, 6B02109-Choreography, 6B01701-Kazakh Language and Literature, 6B02302-Translation, 6B01201- Pre-school education, 6B01902-Speech therapy, 6B01904 - Typhlopedagogy, 6B01303 - PE and ICT . The event was attended by 80 students of the above-listed specialties, who were given a walking tour of the «Oi-Karagai gorge», basic information about tourism was given at the recreation center, master classes were held on assembling tents, and an excursion was conducted under the guidance of a specialist from the recreation center «Oi-Karagay» Abildaeva Asel Eranovna.
