Water Conservation

The university implements the following programs:
• Recycled Water Supply: A fountain at the main entrance that operates using a water collection reservoir.
• Access to Clean Drinking Water: A drinking fountain in the main building.
• Promotion of Reusable Cups and Thermoses: Encouraging students to use reusable drink ware.
• Rainwater Harvesting: Collecting rainwater for various uses.
• Water Source Monitoring: Researching the condition of water sources on campus and monitoring water quality.
• Education and Awareness: Programs aimed at raising awareness among students and staff about the importance of water conservation and protection of water resources.
• Wastewater Management and Reuse Program: Initiatives for treating and reusing wastewater.

Considering that Kazakhstan faces freshwater scarcity and adopts transboundary water policies, Abai University demonstrates its commitment to a strategy of prudent water use and aims to raise awareness about the importance of this aspect for sustainable development.
