UI GreenMetric — EDUCATION AND RESEARCH (ED)

Education and research in the field of sustainable development are crucial components of higher education systems. Successful research activities require ongoing monitoring and gathering of information on the latest scientific advancements in sustainability.
Information about a university's education and research in sustainable development provides foundational insights into its policies and actions aimed at fostering awareness of sustainability among students, academic staff, and non-academic employees. This criterion also encourages universities to communicate their activities, strategies, and goals related to sustainable development to stakeholders.

Currently, within the framework of the "Education and Research" initiative, the university is implementing the following programs:

  • Student Eco-Club "Ayala"
  • Startup "EcoPrinter"
  • Project "STOP Waste"
  • Startup "Developing Innovative Activities of Future Educators in the Context of Digital Transformation in the Education System"
  • Startup "zerTTe"
  • Project "Researching Mechanisms for the Effective Implementation of the Green University Concept in Higher Education Institutions in Kazakhstan"
