From February 26 to March 5, 2023, professor at the Department of Primary Education of Abai KazNPU, Zhumabayeva A.E. and senior teacher, Astambayeva Zh.K. visited Ferghana State University of the Republic of Uzbekistan. They carried out their work at a foreign university in three areas: Exchange of views; Reading lectures, conducting practical classes and training; Discussion of joint activities in the framework of future cooperation.
Our teachers met with I. Zokirov, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of the University, B. H. Baijanov, Dean of the Faculty of Preschool and Elementary Education, and I. V. Kholdarova, Head of the Department of Methodology of Elementary Education. Parties exchanged views on organization of teaching and educational process, peculiarities of research work, training of specialists. They also met with teachers of the Department of Primary Education, students of all three levels (doctoral - 5, masters - 54, bachelors - 48) and answered questions of interest.
Professor Zhumabaeva A.E. held lectures and training sessions on the discipline "Pedagogical Excellence". Astambaeva J.K. told to the students of specialty "Primary education and sports-educational work" about difficult questions of teaching mathematics to pupils of primary classes on discipline "Methods of teaching mathematics" and held practical lessons. At the meeting with Masters students conducted training sessions related to the writing of theses and dissertations. The problems of the structure of a master`s thesis, the choice of the topic for research, the organisation of the scientific apparatus of the thesis were discussed. Particular attention was paid to planning, experimental work, mathematical and statistical processing of the results and formulation of evidence-based recommendations.
During the meeting with representatives of administration of university, dean`s office, department and teachers were discussed the development of two-diploma educational programs for bachelors, the organization of academic mobility of students, teachers, exchange of experience, writing joint monographs, articles in journals listed in Scopus, Web of Science and more.
The visit of our teachers to FSU was at a high level and very productive. Such meetings should be held in the future, especially as there are great prospects for the joint solution of urgent problems of primary education in the two countries.
