On November 17, 2023, the UNESCO Regional Office (Almaty) in cooperation with the UNESCO Chair in Pedagogy and Teacher Training of Abai KazNPU held a series of lectures aimed at promoting the cultural heritage of Kazakhstan and Central Asia through methods of restoration and reconstruction of historical and cultural sites for the 1st year students of the speciality "History and Social Sciences" of the Institute of History and Law.
The lecture series was designed for all young people interested in history and culture. During the classes the following topics were covered: Urjar priestess and her secrets (history of discovery, study and revival); Tsar`s horses from "frozen" archaeological sites: "Sakic barrows of the Berel valley"; "Altai riddles and clues. Interdisciplinary Studies".
In this regard, on November 21, 2023 with the students of the 1st year of the speciality "History and Social Science" of the Institute of History and Law, the staff of the UNESCO Chair of Educational Sciences and Teacher Training of Abai KazNPU, Head of the Chair J.T.Tilekova and researcher of the Chair N.Opabekov held a round table discussion "Urjar priestess and her secrets".
This event was dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Convention for the Protection of World Heritage and the 20th anniversary of the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the World Community.
