On February 14, at the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography of KazNPU named after Abai, on the basis of the 15th goal - conservation of terrestrial ecosystems - Sustainable Development, a lecture on the topic "Birds. Study and conservation" for 1st year students majoring in biology is an educational direction from the specialists of the ASBK (Kazakhstan Association for the Conservation of Biodiversity). Talgat Kisebaev, a specialist at the Center for Applied Biology of the ASBK, told the students about the diversity of birds in Kazakhstan, about modern methods of bird research, and also conducted an interactive session on recording birds from photographs. Elmira Mustafina, a leading specialist of the ASBK, shared with the students information about the project "Students for Nature", within which students of several universities in Kazakhstan can take part in master classes and trainings on bird watching and their records. This lecture is part of a series of events that are held to raise awareness of natural science students.
