Activist of the Ayala eco-club of the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, 4th year student of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography, specializing in Ecology Zhumagali Nazerke, participant of the "Volunteers4Climate" program organized in Kazakhstan by the United Nations Children`s Fund (UNICEF) in partnership with the socio-ecological Foundation, was selected from more than three hundred applicants and became a UNICEF volunteer.
The Volunteers4Climate program, together with the Social and Environmental Foundation of Kazakhstan and UNICEF, will help students in grades 6-10 in specially selected schools in Almaty, Karaganda and Temirtau to explain important problems of sustainable development and climate change with interesting environmental lessons. This is a great opportunity to share knowledge and skills that will help you build a green future. The program will last until May 2024.
Currently, our student Zhumagali Nazerke is successfully completing the qualification stage of volunteers "Volunteers4climate" and shares his knowledge with students of grades 8 of 208 gymnasium schools in Almaty.
