In honor of the Decade of Science in the Institute of Natural Science and Geography of KazNPU named after Abay 08.04.2024 eco-club «Ayala» together with the UNESCO chair held interactive training sessions. The head of the eco-club professor Bakirova K.Sh. and associate professor Tilekova Zh.T. made an introductory speech.
Eco-activists of the club Altynbekova A. and Zhumagali N. made presentations on the topics: "3R Concept" and "Climate Change". Students listened with great interest, took an active part in interactive games. The winners were identified and awarded with special prizes. The training deepened students` understanding of SDG 12 - Responsible Consumption and Production and SDG 13 - Combating Climate Change. Conducting interactive games reinforced the acquired knowledge. Conducting the event allowed and identified the most active students, who with the help of critical and creative thinking were able to solve the tasks set before them on alternative ways out of various environmental situations.
The purpose and result of such events is to form a full understanding of the essence of SDGs and the ability to quickly make decisions on complex problems of the modern world. The class was attended by faculty members of the Department of Geography and Ecology: Uvaliev T.O., Barankulova D.M., Savanchieva A., Amanbai B. and others.
