On April 23, 2024, the Almaty Zoo hosted a city press conference on the topic "Eco-safety: the animal world is in your hands." In the form of an information digest, reports were made by employees of the Institute of Zoology and the Animal Gene Pool - Deputy Director M.A.Chirikova and researcher at the Laboratory of Ornithology S.H.Zaripova. During the event, an exhibition with a demonstration of animals, a quiz and an excursion to the zoo were held. The organizers were the staff of the Almaty Zoo, headed by A.R.Rakhimova and teachers of the Biology Department of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography K.I.Batyrova, N.A.Bekenova, Sh.S.Shynybekova.
