Today, on May 10, 2024, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a significant meeting with a delegation from the University of Lorraine (Université de Lorraine), France. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai and representatives of the University of Lorraine. The moderator was Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek.
During the meeting, the main issues of cooperation between universities were discussed, special attention was paid to the establishment of a branch of the University of Lorraine in the field of law, pedagogy and public administration on the basis of Abai University. The parties also discussed issues of dual degree programs, academic mobility of teachers and students, as well as participation in the Abai-Vern scholarship program and the 500 Scientists scientific internship within the framework of the Bolashak international program.
At the end of the meeting, an agreement was signed on the establishment of a Branch of the University of Lorraine in the field of law, pedagogy and public administration on the basis of Abai University. This important step opens up new prospects for the development of education and science in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as strengthens ties between the two countries in the field of higher education.
