June 24, 2024 Rector Bolat Tlep familiarized himself with the progress of preparation of three newly created laboratories and office to support inclusive education on the basis of Abai University for the new academic year.
The new laboratories and office were equipped within the framework of projects of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, funded by the World Bank. They are aimed at developing the fields of physics, biology, chemistry and inclusive education, as well as training and retraining of teaching staff, developing innovative educational programs, improving infrastructure and overcoming barriers in public awareness.
The project provided modern equipment for two new laboratories at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography, one laboratory at the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics, and a resource room to support inclusive education and research processes at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology.
The resource room to support inclusive education and research processes is equipped with tools to identify the special needs of the child, as well as the development of sensory, cognitive and motor areas. The room is provided with additional and alternative means of communication that contribute to the all-round development of students
The teaching laboratories for physics, chemistry and biology have been equipped with modern equipment such as Roqed interactive whiteboards, digital and teaching microscopes, magnifying glasses and reagents. These laboratories are geared towards e-learning platforms that are in line with international standards.
The state-of-the-art equipment and innovative teaching methods significantly improve the quality of education and prepare them to be successful teachers. These initiatives provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills, enabling them to work effectively with different categories of students and create a favorable educational environment.
