Eurasian Resources Group, as part of the realization of social policy, launching “the ERG mektepke” initiative in Aktobe, Kostanay and Pavlodar regions. The project aimed at developing secondary education in their native regions, popularizing engineering and technical specialties and digital technologies in education through the continuous professional development of teachers and school directors, reports Tengrinews.kz by citing the company's press service.
The ERG mektepke project will cover more than 280 schools in Aktobe, Kostanay and Pavlodar regions. It includes training programs for students, educators and school directors, participation in a global conference and access to an interactive digital platform.
"ERG, as a socially responsible company, implements many social projects aimed at developing the regions of presence and their residents. Our enterprises in these cities are the largest employers, therefore, in addition to promoting the development of the education system, the ERG mektepke project aims to train future personnel for our enterprises. We want schools to have access to digital resources and best pedagogical practices. In addition, we hope that the initiative will help reduce the rate of negative labor migration," said Inna Gubareva, ERG Chief Human Resources Director.
The project will provide teachers and students with new study resources. This is access to the ERG Digital Mektep platform with interactive content in mathematics, geography, English, physics, chemistry, biology, as well as simulations for the development of functional literacy and STEM in all grades. All content presented in two languages (Kazakh, Russian) with interactive tasks and the possibility of personalized learning.
The project operators - the Institute for the Development of Modern Education EdCrunch Academy and BTS Education - will provide teachers with field-based intensive courses in all cities, more than 120 courses for the development of subject knowledge, 10 courses for the development of functional literacy, and 10 courses for the development of digital literac
Master classes and trainings will represented by leading teachers of EdCrunch Academy, BTS Education, Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, KazNPU named after Abay, National Research University Higher School of Economics and other centers of expertise in the field of pedagog
The retraining program for school directors aimed at developing managerial knowledge and competencies.
The training will include interactive presentations, group work, tutor support, demonstrations of participants' cases and guest lectures from the heads of recognized leading schools in Kazakhstan and the CIS countries.
The best and active students of the programs will become participants in the global conference on new educational technologies EdCrunch, which will be held on December 7-8 in Almat It will bring together world-renowned educators, entrepreneurs, investors, leaders, experts and policymakers in education.
The goals that the project solves closely related to the instructions of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, which he announced in his recent Message. The head of state spoke about the importance of improving curricula, improving the quality of information systems for remote learning formats, the qualifications of teachers, and supporting children from socially vulnerable families.
The training programs are available to all teachers of the connected schools. ERG mektepke starts in September 2021 and will be an annual event.
To ensure the quality of programs, an expert council created, which included leading methodologists and heads of educational organizations in Kazakhstan. The project implemented with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and in partnership with the education departments of Aktobe, Kostanay and Pavlodar regions, NIS AEO, EdCrunch Academy, BTS Education, Paryz, Ertis Komek and Densaylyq Qostanai foundations.
