October 3-4, 2018 at the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai took place the VIII International Scientific and Methodological Conference "Mathematical Modeling and Informational Technologies in Education and Science", dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the universit

The main objectives of the conference are to discuss topical issues of mathematics, computer science and information and mathematical modeling, the pressing problems of informatization and digitalization of education, as well as STEM education; digitalization of the pedagogical dimension to ensure the quality of teaching natural sciences.

Lomonosov, the Institute of Information and Computing Technologies, representatives of universities of Kazakhstan, as well as heads of structural units, faculty and doctoral students attended the conference.
At the beginning of the event, took place the grand opening of the "Pedagogical STEM-Park" based on KazNPU named after. Abai. At the opening of the conference, Rector Takir Balykbaev congratulated participants on the upcoming significant date of the 90th anniversary of the university, spoke about the achievements and high potential of KazNPU named after Abai, which is the leading scientific and educational center in the field of pedagogy in Kazakhstan.
Noting the relevance of the topic of the conference, the rector emphasized: “Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai is the main center of educational and methodological support for the training of pedagogical personnel in the countr We have begun to implement a new model of teaching programs for pedagogical specialties, prepared jointly with foreign partners. Within the framework of the conference, planned to discuss ways to implement the Digital Kazakhstan program and analyze the possibilities of using the advantages of digitalization, as well as to summarize domestic and foreign experience in introducing IT technologies into the educational processes of universities, developing and improving the quality of the staff of educational organizations. Digitalization has great potential to completely change the methodology and every stage in the learning process. Especially in the field of higher education, where online courses, trainings and innovative methods of obtaining knowledge are already in great demand.
A detailed study of the training programs is advisable, including the development of laboratory work for the above courses and other documents necessary for the successful implementation of this training course. Relevant research carried out by the international scientific laboratory of the problems of informatization of education and educational technologies functioning at KazNPU and the Department of Informatics and Informatization of Education.

Russian Academy of Education, Professor of Moscow State Pedagogical University Sergey Grigoriev, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor of the Institute of Information and Computing Technologies Maksat Kalimoldaev. Scientists discussed the condition and prospects for the development of information and computing technologies in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the objectives of the study and the content of the school subject "Informatics", issues of engineering education.
In the second part of the conference, the moderator was the first vice-rector of KazNPU named after Abai Maktagali Bektemesov. The following topics were discussed: problems and ways of effective use of digital technologies in education; structure of the spectrum of ordinary differential operators on a segment; features of the description of kinetic transitions in gas mixtures by numerical simulation methods; methods of identifiability of inverse problems in biology and medicine; actual tasks of the practice of pedagogical measurements in higher education.
Panel sessions of the two-day international conference continued in five areas: mathematics, computer science and information and mathematical modeling; inverse and ill-posed problems of natural science; informatization and digitalization of education; digitalization of physics and mathematics education and STEM education; pedagogical measurements in the context of digitalization of education.
