Vice-Rector of the University for Education and Social Development spoke about the activities carried out by the university in the framework of the Year of Youth. The Vice-Rector also said that the Anti-Corruption Committee in Almaty, within the framework of the social project "Ambassadors of Integrity", opened its branch in this Center.
“Volunteers consisting of our students work together with the social department of the city of Almat In particular, they go home to large families, single mothers, the elderly persons, families raising disabled children and provide assistance. They help mothers who cannot go to the city for their children; they walk in the fresh air with the elderly persons. Recently, university teachers, on their own initiative, purchased a refrigerator, TV, microwave and food for low-income families," he said.
Zhanatbek Ishpekbaev noted that volunteer groups have been working at the university for a long time and more than 500 students have joined.
"We have volunteers of international level; they participated not only in the last Asian Games in Almaty, but also take part in sports events in other countries. Due to the fact that we are a pedagogical university, our volunteers work closely with boarding schools where "Children with disabilities stud To cheer them up, students organize concerts and entertainment programs for children. Sometimes they themselves hold promotions and buy the necessary things for boarding schools with the money raised," said Zhanatbek Ishpekbaev.
